Big kitchens are back

One in seven homebuyers have placed a big eat-in kitchen on top of their wish list according to a study carried out by house insurer, Legal & General.
More... In contrast, only one per cent want a dining room more than anything else.

Carina Norris, author of ‘You Are What You Eat’ said: “After the trend for homebuyers to opt for tiny kitchens, its encouraging to see the pendulum swinging back to large kitchens, with plenty of space for the family to eat together.”
Buyers also showed a strong preference for large gardens, followed closely by en suite bedrooms.
