There are tutorials for those who feel they need them and a calendar view diary, keeping you up to date with final results, interim results, trading announcements and much more.

What is good about it?

The live and direct information keeps you up to date with funds and shares. Help, support and tutorials are useful for those feeling out of their depth, and the expert comments section is packed full of information on investing and world economies. All the research and information you need at your fingertips. Then, once you’re confident and trading, the fact that you can check the value of your shares, funds, vantage accounts, ISAs and SIPPs and deal funds, shares and ETFs directly from your smartphone, all in one place is neat.

Verdict:

HL Live would already be a great app without the educational element. The fact that the developers have included so much support for those still finding their feet in the field of funds is a thoughtful addition.
